Jake Shandling strives to make rhythmically compelling, texturally rich music that tells an honest story reflecting the people, places, and experiences that mold his perspective and identity.

Jake has worked with many other artists including Slavic Soul Party!, Peter Stan, Sonny Climes, Dayna Stephens, Zach Moses, Joe Warner, Ben Goldberg, Noel Jewkes, and Groundation Next Generation, in addition to composing for and leading his own projects. He has performed throughout the USA and Europe at venues including The Jazz Gallery, Jazz at Lincoln Center, NYC Winter Jazzfest, The Brooklyn Museum, Dartmouth College, Stanford University, Bar Next Door, Barbés Brooklyn and National Sawdust, as well as on the musical scores of films including Off In The Far Away Somewhere: Georgia O'Keeffe's Hawaii (2018) and Musicians & Magicians (2018).
